Between April 9 and July 17, 1793, the US Mint struck and delivered 63,353 large copper cents. Most of these, and perhaps all, were of the wreath type, although records do not specify when the design types were changed that year. The Wreath Cent was named for the new reverse style. Both sides have raised beads at the border, similar to the style used on 1793 half cents.
