    Washington Quarters

    Minted 1932 to 1998

What an exciting set to collect. So many dates, mintmarks and types of metal. The U.S. Mint had not issued a Quarter since 1930, as the demand for Quarters was greatly diminished by the onset of the Great Depression. In 1932, as a tribute to George Washington, the first American president, a new Quarter was issued as a commemorative. It proved so popular that two years later in 1934, this popular design was re-issued and the rest is history. Start your set today!
