Minted 1794 to 1885
Bust Dollars: Issued 1794 to 1804
Seated Liberty Dollars: Issued 1840 to 1873
Trade Dollars: Issued 1873 to 1885
Early American Silver Dollars are some of the scarcest of all U.S. series. From the Flowing Hair and Bust Dollars of the 18th Century to the Seated Liberty Dollars and Trade Dollars, these are most desirable and a proud addition to any collection. Most of the early dollars were melted in the 19th and early 20th century, making these far more difficult to locate than mintages might indicate. This coin, ordered by invoice 144595 was to be a "gem brilliant proof." The coin I received was not any kind of proof, and as a mere uncirculated coin, it was in none too pretty condition. I'll be way more careful about ordering from Mt. Vernon in the future.
The coins arrived two days earlier than expected. Upon inspection of the coins, I found small damage on the backs of each coin. I was hoping for better brilliant uncirculated. Other than they are beautiful coins that arrived fast.
my grand children love them
The coins were just as described, shiny too.
I’m very pleased & satisfied with these $2.00 &$5.00 red seal notes. They arrived in nice condition & were exactly as described. I was also very satisfied with how quick Mount Vernon Coin Co. shipped out these items & how quickly I received them. I highly recommend these $2.00 & $5.00 red seal notes & Mount Vernon Coin Co., they have a great selection of items in great condition at very reasonable prices & excellent customer service.
